This story was a historical fiction written about the military dogs used in the Vietnam war in the 1960’s. It was based on factual information, but the characters are ficticious. I loved this story! The author writes in the third person perspective and captures each character’s actions and thoughts very well. I was particularly drawn in when the story was told from Cracker’s point of view. Whether you are a dog lover or not, I believe this is a story that will touch your heart.
